Sandwiches

I have to admit, upon Naomi's comment I decided to creep her profile to which I discovered love for sandwiches. This made me think of my own love and hence I write for the sake of sandwiches. I have lived mostly the whole semester off of sandwiches, mainly ham and swiss with spicy mustard (Beaver Brand Honey Mustard), mayo, crunch pickles, and sometimes lettuce on usually Winco's Mutli Grain Deli Bread or Sour Dough Deli Bread. I thought I would be sick of sandwiches by now... I thought wrong. This is a shout out to the very sandwich described above which I ate earlier. I was going to try and be creative and write a poem about that sandwich.. but then I started feeling really lazy and decided it best just to eat more sandwiches in tribute. Furthermore I heard Andy got a battleship tatoo on his chest, I also heard that Drexton is going to be a father, congrats bud.

Interestingly enough Matt, I just finished eating a sandwich myself. After reading the kinds of sandwiches that YOU are eating, however, I realize how poor I am. You see my sandwich today consisted of Hy-top white bread that had been stored in our freezer, Hy-top Mayo, Hy-top mustard, Winco mozzarella cheese, and Winco processed deli turkey. My sandwich was in my bag pack for 6 hours and the mayo and mustard was kind of warm and the bread was a little soggy because of it. They turkey was really gross because it is getting close to being a month old. It was in the freezer and then defrosted in the microwave this morning.

Over all, I enjoyed my sandwich. I must admit, though, that I want one of your sandwiches. Thank you.

Also: I noticed that Mark posted the comment and Matt did not. I apologize to all who may be affected. But still: Matt - how are your sandwiches?

Wow, mark, we have very similar sandwiches. I start off with a loaf of potato bread (from winco) that is pretty soft. I enjoy it more than multigrain crapness. Then i, put some miracle vip (please roll the 'r' in miracle to pay tribute to the late jacob fuller). then i cut some cheese (no farting jokes, we're all immature adults) usually tilamook. I know, tilamook is expensive, but, like orange juice, cheese is one of those things you shouldn't skimp on. After the cheese slicing, i cut up some pickles, the ones with the stork, then i apply BEAVER BRAND SPICY MUSTARD (thanks andy). You are all aware of my devotion to this mustard. after that,i lay 5, sometimes 6 pieces of meat, then i partke.

Sandwich, you are the second love of my life

Unfortunately, you come second to my future wife.

I adorn you with pickles and mustard and meat

the cheese that i cut smells similar to feet.

i glaze you with mustard squeezed fresh from an angel

and devour you like hyennas that are ready to mangle

a fresh corpse of a gazelle, low on the plains

Oh sandwich, i give you my 1st born with no pain.

There ate two sandwiches I've been involved in lately (all ingredients purchased at WINCO)
One is on wheat bread made locally in Boise, stacked with tilamook sharp cheddar, lettuce, turkey, beaver brand honey mustard, and avocado (a staple in my diet recently and only 68cents at WINCO).
The second one is on a slightly toasted wheat or asiago cheese bagel, spread with cream cheese, a fried egg with melted cheese on top, and sometimes avocado.

Also, I recently discovered that Beaver makes a raspberry flavored mustard. Delicious.

Also: Sandwich Wrap/Rap
Grab some bread,
Put on some meat,
Pickles, Lettuce, Onions, and you're ready to eat.
It's a sandwich rap/wrap.

today i found myself double-fistin tunafish sandwiches. mix Beaver Brand Honey Mustard in the batch and its a done deal.

as for pickles, Matt if you're usin the ones with the stork you really should try the Claussen. hands down better.

Andy, Raspberry flavored mustard sounds like a revolution. i will investigate. for the record, the Beaver Brand Deli Mustard with the horseradish is tasty, but I'd rather go with the Honey Mustard any day.

I'd like to make a correction. In my post earlier i said i was using BEAVER BRAND SPICY MUSTARD, when in fact i was using BEAVER BRAND HONEY MUSTARD, hands down the best of the beaver line. ps, don't try their dijon. It's gay. Andy, your sandwiches sound divine. I'm half tempted to force you to marry me just so you'd make me sandwiches (like on the Sandlot) FOREVER. FOOOORRRREEEEEEEVVER.
Mark, i've tried the claussen, however seeing a small jar is $2.58 at Winco and a huge jar of the stork ones are also $2.58, i usually choose the huge jar. Also, Kevin likes them so sometimes i'm able to hand feed kevin pickles whilst he makes himself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. PS, the only kind of revolution that you'd get out of rasberry mustard is a dumb one. Stick to mustard seeds.

i see that the dijon is the gay type of mustard. i bought the mustard in thinking that i was being refined in my selection of condiment. i also have a slave that makes me a sandwich when ever i desire. so therefore my sandwich is the best, fact. andy's is runner up

... do you mean Leah?? yeah, i guess you do win. until she reads the blog. then maybe not.

no mark, i think drexton is literally talking about estoban, his puerto rican slave he bought on ebay. what a steal.

Alfafa Sprouts? Thoughts?

merk said...

ugh.. i love sprouts

Matthew said...

Mark, was that an UGGGGGGGGGG, you love sprouts? Dusty. I also enjoy sprouts, but you can't have lettuce and sprouts. Unlike money, that's too much green. I really don't enjoy how many sprouts subway used to put on my sandwiches, but i think they stopped using them, so it's not a problem anymore. I would much rather prefer to handle my own. Also, i'm just curious if you were talking about sprouts on sandwiches, or sprouts all by themselves. I think sprouts all by themselves are a little icky. They definitely need to be paired with some BEAVER BRAND HONEY MUSTARD.

my friends, i have a friend who also shares our love for sandwiches... of which at this time i shall now pass on her poem of deliciousness to you all. ..

Oh, sandhich. So soft, so light.
How I wish to take a bite.
Like men, you come in all sorts of ways,
But I get to choose your taste and how your body lays.
Oh, sandwich. So complete and divine.
How I wish to make you mine.
I see no flaws, but one thing will get me flustered,
A sandwich that does not have Beaver Brand Honey Mustard.
